Tyler Raponi is the Junior Research Analyst for the Municipal Practice at Sussex Strategy Group. Tyler has over 5 years of municipal government experience, primarily in board administration and governance, digital election transformation and municipal climate emergency policy and strategy. Tyler provides detailed information and strategic analysis on municipal and regional policy development, tracks progress and movement of reports through committees and council, and offers insight into emerging issues for clients.
Prior to joining Sussex, Tyler worked in the public sector with corporations and boards in York Region and Toronto. Tyler has worked with the Town of Aurora and Town of Newmarket, and with the Toronto District School Board (TDSB), assisting with equity and governance collaboration, digital process development, and accessibility and training programs for stakeholders.
Tyler has an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, English and Women and Gender Studies from the University of Toronto and a Master of Public Administration with a research focus on municipal climate action from Western University. Tyler is actively involved and serves as a Director with the Association of Municipal Managers, Clerks and Treasurers of Ontario (AMCTO) Zone 4 Board, and as a Co-Chair for Western University Local Government Program Alumni Society’s Annual Municipal Issues Conference.
