TORONTO – July 10 2017 – Sussex Strategy Group, one of Canada’s premier government relations and strategic communications firms, is pleased to announce a significant new addition to the firm’s Ontario Government Relations Practice.
Abid Malik joins the firm as a Senior Associate, Ontario Government Relations. Prior to joining Sussex, Abid consulted to health care clients at a public affairs and health care consulting firm for two years. Abid has also held a number of relevant positions throughout his career, including serving as Legislative Assistant, then Senior Policy advisor, and finally Director of Policy for two former Ontario Ministers of Health and Long Term Care from 2003 until 2009. Subsequently Abid worked at eHealth Ontario, for six years, first as Director of Vendor Relations and then as Director of Strategic Solutions. Abid holds a BA in Economics from the University of Toronto.
The Ontario Government Relations practice continues to be led by Joseph Ragusa, whose experience and depth of understanding of the provincial government has made Sussex a market leader in this area.
