Robyn Gray to Lead Environment and Climate Change Group

TORONTO – February 16th, 2017 – Sussex Strategy Group, one of Canada’s premier government relations and strategic communications firms, is pleased to announce that, effective immediately, Robyn Gray becomes Vice President.  In this capacity she will help grow the firm’s work in the important areas of environment and climate change.  

“Governments around the world are confronting the reality of climate change, as well as increasingly complex environmental regulations and approvals processes,” said Chris Benedetti, Principal, Energy and Environment.  “Robyn is a demonstrated leader with solid experience these areas, and has the knowledge and understanding required to support our clients.”

Since 2012, Robyn has advised key domestic and international clients on a number of diverse environmental and energy issues, including cap and trade, climate change mitigation strategies, environmental stewardship, and related permitting and approvals.  Previously Robyn worked at Queen’s Park for the Minister of Government Services, Minister of Consumer Services, and Minister of the Environment. She has also worked as Deputy Manager, Strategic Research and Policy in Liberal Caucus Services Bureau.  At the federal level of government, Robyn worked for the Secretary of State for Rural Development and FedNor, the Minister of Indian and Northern Affairs Canada, and for the Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada.

Robyn is a CSA-certified GHG Inventory Quantifier, and has a Certificate in GHG Inventory. Robyn has a Master’s Degree in Environmental Studies from York University, where she specialized in climate change policy and was a founding member of Nature Canada’s Women for Nature initiative.  Prior to joining to Sussex, Robyn was a senior consultant at a leading public affairs firm in Australia.
