We are very pleased to announce that Rodrigue Gilbert has joined the Sussex Federal Government Relations Practice as a Senior Associate as of February 1, 2016. Rodrigue brings a tremendous amount of experience and expertise to our already significant federally-focused public affairs practice in Ottawa. He also has a strong track record of successes for clients in dealing with the Government of Quebec.
Rodrigue, is expert in the processes of the federal government across all departments, and has particular sector expertise in energy, environment, healthcare and natural resources.
Rodrigue is a life-long Liberal supporter, political staffer and campaigner, most recently running the successful Quebec provincial campaign of Andre Fortin, MNA for Pontiac.
Rodrigue began his political career working in Ottawa for several Cabinet Ministers in the government of former Prime Minister Jean Chretien. He served in many capacities with increasing seniority for the President of the Treasury Board and Ministers of Heritage, Human Resources and Skills Development, and Industry. After leaving government, he was responsible for stakeholder management and communications for the Public Sector Pension Investment Board based in Montreal.
Most recently, and prior to joining us at Sussex, Rodrigue ran his own public affairs consultancy helping myriad clients with issues at both the federal and provincial levels of government.
